Pay As You Wish Tour: Jakarta City Center Walking Tour

Overview:
This is a walking tour around the most important city square in Jakarta with the National Monument at the center.

There are several important buildings around the city square, the National Museum, some ministry offices, the Presidential Palace, the Istiqlal Mosque (National Mosque), Jakarta Cathedral, and Immanuel Church.

We will walk like the locals. We will not go into each building, just pass them. This tour is suitable for you who like backpacking and don’t have much time to explore the city.

The tour will last around 2 hours, but it depends on how many pictures you take. Feel free to take them.

Wear your most comfortable outfit and wear cap/hat if you can’t stand the sun. Also, your most comfortable footwear. A bottle of mineral water is recommended but don’t worry if you bring none, cause we can always stop to get some.

Itinerary:
Meeting point: In front of the National Museum (with appointment).

Buildings we’re going to pass :

1. National Museum.
2. Constitutional Court.
3. Radio Republic Indonesia (National Radio).
4. National Monument.
5. The Presidential Palace.
6. Istiqlal Mosque
7. Jakarta Cathedral.
8. Immanuel Church.
9. US Embassy.

Note: We will NOT go into the buildings.

The White House? No. This is Independence Palace that we’re passing during this walking tour.

Duration: (more or less) 2 hours.
Weather plays an important role in this walking tour. Rain will slow us down and so will the heat (if you can’t stand it).
